All living beings are made of water. As The Water Bearer, it’s no wonder that Aquarius feels a responsibility to provide for others! Other well-known traits about Aquarius are their dry humor (and sometimes, we can’t tell if they’re joking or not), their health-consciousness, unbending logic, and their tendency to stray from the “ordinary.” Aquarius season is also the home of the Super Bowl, tax forms, Groundhog Day, Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year. Just like Aquarius, the mix of events in its season are equal parts fun and reality-checking. If you are an Aquarius, you might feel misunderstood by a lot of people. That’s okay with you though, right?! After all, you march to the beat of your own drum, and that would be really hard to do if people could play the same beat on the same drum! There are a lot of other things I feel you do not get enough credit for, and I would like to acknowledge them as Aquarius season comes to a close.
Despite the fact that you usually come off like you feel nothing, there is nothing better than seeing you get emotional.
You are part-ruled by Saturn, which is the serious planet of restrictions and discipline. So, it makes sense that you think a lot about what you should and shouldn’t do. You always hold it together because there are usually more important things to pay attention to than just feelings. BUT. When you push your feelings to the side, they hide somewhere inside you, and they collect like bubbles in a boiling pot. When your proverbial pot of feelings boils over, it is actually kind of nice to see that you are human, just like the rest of us!
Your forward thinking inspires others.
Uranus is the other planet that rules your sign. It inspires creativity, strokes of genius and awakening. (Notice that we are currently in the Age of Aquarius, and the word “awakening” is everywhere in terms of universal and spiritual awareness.) Because you are ruled by the planet of structure and the planet of genius, you know deep inside you that there is so much positive work to be done on this planet, and you know how to contribute.
This is why you will see many Aquarians involved with charity, or helping those in need without breaking a sweat. Despite your career or how the public perceives you, your soul is that of a giver and a lover of all living things.
Actor and philanthropist Ashton Kutcher was introduced to the world as Michael Kelso, a wacky, clueless and cocky high schooler in “That 70’s Show”. Kutcher played this role so convincingly that it took many years after the show ended for the public eye to recognize him for who he really is: a role model, mature, aware of worldly issues, highly intelligent and eloquent. He is a co-founder of Thorn, an international organization that contributes to anti-human trafficking efforts.
You don’t just bear water for others. You bear burdens for them, too.
If people around you aren’t happy, you feel a responsibility to do something about it. You think nothing of bearing burden for others because it makes you happy to be in an environment where everyone is happy. When working in a team, you work on the “hard” tasks, or the part that no one else wants to do, just to keep everything flowing smoothly. Although this sounds like a chore to other people, you know better than everyone else that your ethic conditions you to thrive in environments that are less than optimal.
You make people realize shit about themselves.
When people are in denial about reality, you’re the first person to call out the actual truth. You have no problem telling a friend if they are “settling,” or if they need to step up their game. Your words may be a little blunt for some to swallow, but that’s probably because they need to toughen up… right?
You examine facts from different perspectives.
You bring up different ways to look at a facts and make people realize that there may be better ways to deal with them. You also see situation from your responsible Saturnian side as well as your rebellious Uranian side, and then you decide the best way to approach them. You’re a rule breaker and a law abider simultaneously. If I’m not sure whether or not I want to listen to the angel on one shoulder or the devil on the other, know I can come to you to figure out which to listen to.
